DeMichael Jackson had a strong season for Jeffersontown last year, rushing for 1364 yards and 21 touchdowns. He also split out wide and played some receiver, catching 21 passes for 374 yards and four touchdowns. His season caught the attention of the Kentucky staff and he spent some time with the Wildcats yesterday.
"My overall visit was about a nine," he said. "During their practice session I had the chance to see how organized college practice is and how competitive every drill is. Kentucky has some great players and coaches. They are very talented this year. I was impressed" he continued.
"I had the chance to talk with Joker and Coach Turner, but mostly Joker. We talked about school, the program at Kentucky and he asked me if I was coming to the camp. I will be coming," he continued.
Jackson will also visit a few other schools during the spring.
Jackson was scheduled to compete at the Nike Combine in Indianapolis a few weeks back, but he was unable to attend due to his obligations with the Jeffersontown basketball team. But he will head out to another Nike Combine in Ohio this year along with visiting other schools when the opportunity comes.
"I have not had a chance to check out any other schools. I will be taking a lot of visits after spring break," he finished.
