Adam Bush had a great junior season for Lexington Catholic. With sophomore sensation Kyle Bolin tossing him the ball for another season, Bush could eclipse those numbers next season.

Lexington Catholic went 7-6 last season with an ever-improving team that reached the third round of the playoffs. One reason for the success they experienced last season was wide receiver Adam Bush.

Last season Bush had 53 receptions for 873 yards and 10 touchdowns. Now he's ready to up those numbers next season.

"I think I played well, although I do think I could have done better. There is a lot of room for improvement and with the 2011 season coming up fast, I believe I'm ready to take my game up another notch and have a breakout year," Bush said.

With his impressive talents already on display, what can the 6-foot-2, 185-pounder do to get better?

"I would like to improve my speed and quickness. That, in my opinion, is a huge part o being a great receiver. Not only being able to be a possession receiver, but also a deep threat," Bush said.

But make no mistake, Bush is quite a player for Lexington Catholic already and is on his way to playing at the next level because of his already polished skills.

"As a receiver, I pride myself on running precise routes and taking what opportunities the defense gives me. The ability to adjust to different defensive formations and tweeking the route to find the hole (is also a strength)," said Bush. "My coaches help me a great deal with finding the soft spots, depending on what formations I see and give me and Kyle (Bolin) the freedom on the field to check different plays at various opportunities," he continued.

Those abilities have led to some interest from a number of schools, although Bush is still awaiting his initial scholarship offer.

"I sent out tapes to numerous schools and I have received responses from Indiana, East Carolina, Louisville, Tennessee and Maryland," he said. "Other schools I am interested in are Kentucky, Miami, Western Kentucky, Illinois, Vanderbilt and Middle Tennessee State as of now."

Bush got a chance to visit Indiana for their junior day but he's hoping to make some additional visits in the future as well as compete at some combines. Adam believes he'll have a chance to show everyone what he's capable of as a player.

"I see myself as a player who is not only a leader on the field, but off (the field) as well. I'm a player that always puts the team first and will work as hard as possible in order to be the best player I can be," he finished.
