Paducah Tilghman was solid again this season with an 8-4 record. Leading their defensive effort was defensive end Derik Overstreet.

Overstreet, a 6-foot-3, 230-pound junior recorded 92 tackles in the regular season. Because of his season, it comes as no surprise that his recruitment is beginning to take shape.

"I've gotten mail from some different schools since last time we talked," said Overstreet. "I'm hearing from Louisville and Mississippi State the most."

Overstreet believes that he may be on pace to earn an offer from one of those programs.

"I could see Louisville offering during next season, if I have a good year," said Overstreet.

Overstreet has visited Louisville previously, during this season. But what about the Bulldogs?

"No, I haven't visited Mississippi State. If they asked me to go, I'd go. Right now it's a lot of mail," Overstreet said.

With new staffs in place at both Kentucky and Western Kentucky, Overstreet says he hasn't heard from either of those programs at this point.
