One of the more dynamic quarterbacks in Kentucky is Henry Clay's Jerry Williams. Williams helped Henry Clay to a 10-2 season as a junior and hopes to carry his team further in his final year of school.

In order for Williams to carry his team, he'll have to continue to add to his already impressive list of attributes. Williams knows that and is willing to make that effort. "My biggest goal is to perfect my mechanics," said Williams. "As long as I can perfect those, I know I'm going to have a good season. I can make my receivers happy and win ball games," he said.

One thing that Williams has done to improve his mechanics is work out at camps and combines. One combine he recently attended was the Score 6 in Lexington. "I think I did really well. I went away with some things I can take with me and improve," he said. "I can fix my mechanics. I think it made me a better quarterback," Williams said.

The camp staff liked what they saw in Williams. "He said I really proved myself. He said it showed that I could be a competitor. I could be one of the best quarterbacks in the state and compete with the best in the nation," he said.

Williams's camp slate is only beginning. He is scheduled to camp at Kentucky next weekend. He's also planning on camping at Georgia Tech, Pittsburgh, West Virginia, Michigan State and Illinois. He will also be attending the Ultimate 100 Combine.

Williams is still waiting on his first offer, but it shouldn't be long before they begin to come. "The main school saying they were going to offer is Bowling Green," he said. Williams is still hearing from several schools. "I receive letters from Cincinnati, Virginia, Illinois, Kentucky and Louisville," he said. "Kentucky, Louisville and West Virginia have been sending letters weekly and so has Bowling Green."

Williams is in no hurry to make a college choice. He hopes to make a decision around signing day. "I think I really just want to relax and play ball. I want to make my decision on signing day so I don't have any pressure on me at all," he said.

There are also a couple of schools that Williams would like to hear from. "I would like to hear from Ohio State. I really like their spread offense. That's one of my main schools. Them and also, Oregon and Florida State," he said.
