Always a hotbed of talent, Saint Xavier High (Ky.) is home to one of the most physically impressive prospects in Kentucky's 2011 class, Andrew Polston.

At 6-foot-6, 240-pounds, Andrew Polston is an impressive looking prospect on the field. With his length and athleticism, Polston is always a threat to get to the quarterback.

"My pass rushing ability and my speed are my strengths," said Polston. "I want to improve on my strength so that I can improve my ability to defeat blocks and stop the run," he said.

While helping Saint X to a state title last year, Polston played enough of a role to be a factor in the championship run. "This past season I performed well for the amount of time that I was playing. I performed well enough to help our team win the state championship," he continued.

Polston's abilities aren't lost on college coaches either. A hand full of schools have come in and taken an interest in the Louisville native. "I hear the most from Cincinnati, Indiana, Purdue and Kentucky," Polston said.

"I have been to Kentucky, Cincinnati and Indiana on unofficial visits," he continued.

Polston hasn't received his first scholarship offer at this point, but he has had a chance to camp at a few schools to show what he's capable of. "I've been to Indiana, Ohio State, Cincinnati, Purdue and Notre Dame for camps so far," said Polston. "I have Kentucky's camp on Saturday," he continued.

His performances at the camps have been solid to this point. "I think I have done well so far. All of the coaches that have talked to me said they will contact me when their camps are over so they they an tell me if I'm still being recruited, being offered or not being recruited anymore," he finished.

Polston hopes his hard work this summer will lead Saint X back to their ultimate goal again. "My biggest goal for the summer and going into my senior year is to get my strength up and work on my run defense so that when it comes to the season, we can stop the run easily. This will hopefully help us win another state championship," he said.

As for college, Polston has is just looking for a good football program and he want to see what kinds of academic programs are available at each school.

We will update you more on Andrew Polston as information is made available.
