Each week Scout Kentucky Preps will bring you some of the best performances in the state and tell you a little about each player.
Last night Ryle High had a dominant performance against Covington Catholic. Ryle rushed for 603 yards on 49 carries in a 61-7 victory. Junior running back Travis Elliott led the way for the Raiders with 22 carries and 268 yards and four touchdowns.
Elliott had around 1600 yards and 25 touchdowns as a sophomore for Ryle.
While Elliott’s performance was great in its own right, Central running back Anthony Wales may have had the best performance overall.
Louisville Central High fell last night to Seneca High, 47-32. In that performance Anthony “Ace” Wales was the standout, even with All-America candidate DaMarcus Smith on the opposite sideline.
Wales rushed for 339 yards on only 19 carries. He also had four touchdowns.
Wales is being recruited by Louisville, Kentucky and Indiana. It won’t be long before several others take notice.
